Crossing the Border into Canada

The Grand Marais RV Park and Campground is easy day-trip distance from Thunder Bay, Canada. Visitors who plan to cross the border should keep the following in mind:

  • All adults must have proof of citizenship plus photo identification.
  • Children must have birth certificates. Children who are not your own must also have notorized letters from their parent/guardian giving them permission to travel to Canada.
  • Pets must have current vaccination records.
  • You cannot bring potatoes, firewood and live bait into Canada.
